Country Hotel Rosentaler Hof
We start from the parking lot in front of the Landhotel Rosentaler Hof in Mühlbach and walk towards St. Johann. We are already on the "Carinthian Way of St. James". Further on we march through the village of Raun, cross the highway and reach a quiet and beautiful forest path. This leads us to the Humkirche (forest church of St. Christoph am Hum). The church was renovated in painstaking work by many volunteers from the surrounding villages. Back on the forest path we go uphill to the junction "Petelin". The somewhat steeper root path leads to the terrain edge of the Petelin. The summit is located at an altitude of 802m. We are rewarded with a magnificent view: of Lake Wörthersee, the Drava River, the beautiful Rosental Valley and the surrounding villages and mountains. We return via Buchheim and Berg in the direction of Rosegg and then along the shady Drau cycle path to our starting point.
