Those who start from Velden are greeted at the Seecorso by water, fresh lake air and bold, orange morning light - a perfect start to the day that immerses the hiker in the deciduous forest of the south shore after only a short distance. After the first steps among the large beech trees, you seem to have entered another world, because here peace and silence reign, far away is the bustling life of the lake itself. So you easily find your rhythm, enjoying the many enchanting places along the way such as the Trattnigteich, or the view of the lake and, of course, the observation tower on the Pyramidenkogel.
No matter how you turn, from the Pyramidenkogel you can enjoy a unique panoramic view of Carinthia and its impressive lake landscape from the world's highest wooden lookout tower at a height of 920 meters. With one of the most modern panorama elevators in Europe or via the stairs you can easily reach the viewing platforms.
Furthermore: adventure gastronomy with a magnificent panorama terrace, the highest dry slide in Europe: start at a height of 51.4 meters, length 120 meters, weather-protected glass skybox.

Directions
From the Velden boat landing stage, opposite the Schlosshotel Velden, follow the blue-white-blue markings of the Wörthersee circular hiking trail. At the youth guesthouse Cap Wörth, the path branches off from the lakeside promenade into the forest. Now it goes idyllically through forest and over meadows to the Trattnigteich. The beautifully situated pond invites you to linger. The trail continues to the Teixl cross. Now it goes up to the Pyramidenkogel. The lift takes you up to the lookout tower, from where you have a magnificent view over the entire Wörthersee area to the Karawanken and Julian Alps in the south and the Nockberge mountains in the north. The descent to the boat landing stage in Reifnitz takes us past the St. Anna church. We return to Velden by boat.
