Hike in the world of one of the smallest European owl species. On the Scops Owl Trail Plöschenberg-Wurdach an easy and pleasant hiking tour leads you along colorful meadows and through sparse forests to the hill of the Sattnitz Plateau. Along the way you will find 20 information boards with interesting facts about the flora and fauna of the area you are hiking through. The focus is clearly on the scops owl, which is increasingly found in this area. The life and habitat of this sparrow-sized owl are described in an entertaining way. Enjoy the view to the south into the Rosental and to the Karawanken, as well as to the north into the Klagenfurt basin. Along the hiking trail, several wine taverns and inns invite you to linger and fortify yourself.

At the start in Plöschenberg approx. 1 kilometer along the asphalt path to the scattered settlement with Buschenschenke and panoramic sign. Turn right into the forest or continue straight ahead, about 800 meters, to the next tavern and then right into the forest (paths meet). Now about 2 kilometers to a forest meadow with a steep slope. Continue about 1 kilometer to a bench with a view of Karawanken, another 800 meters to Wurdach. Finish at fire station, Buschenschenke in 50 meters.
