Coming from Klagenfurt or Villach to Feistritz im Rosental and here turn into Bärental (direction south). Asphalt until the parking lot below the Stouhütte.
By bus or train to Feistritz im Rosental and further with the "Gomobil" to Bärental

Directions
From the parking lot, take the forest road in the direction of "Gedenkstätte" up to the "Plautz" estate, then continue in the direction of the "Alt St. Michael" chapel. Follow the upper forest road here and after a left-hand bend, hiking trail 668 branches off to the right into the forest. Short crossing over a wire fence. The forest road is crossed 3 times in succession, the hiking trail is nicely laid out in serpentines. Along the ridge and then steeply up through the forest to the flat summit plateau.
Return either along the ascent path or descend southwards from the summit (very steep!) and follow the marked hiking trail 669 over the Gipssattel to the "Plautz" farmstead. Please note that the hiking trail is somewhat difficult to find here due to wind and snow breakage. Take the familiar forest path back down to the parking lot.
