This hike follows in the footsteps of the Rosental Peace Memorial March, which commemorates the deceased soldiers of all nations and strengthens common cultural roots. Along renovated sacred buildings, the trail leads up the Matzenberg to the pilgrimage church of St. Anna, where a mass is held every year on July 26.

From Klagenfurt to Ferlach, after the Sparkassenplatz turn slightly right towards Zell-Pfarre, after approx. 1.5 km turn left directly before the Josefskapelle in Dollich, after approx. 300 m turn right Parking on request (Attention: private property!)

Starting from the former Jurkele inn, cross the Josefsbrücke bridge to Jaklin. Here begins trail no. 636 to the Rauth. Pass the Korenjak homestead (water well!) and follow the path, after about 400 m climb slightly to the left and continue along the road until it crosses the gravel road. Here cross the gravel road and slightly hidden into the bushes (follow the Rosentalmarsch markings). After about 1 ½ hours of walking you come to a wayside shrine. Here you have a beautiful view over the whole Rosental and the Upper and Central Carinthian mountains (resting place!).
The path leads steadily uphill for an hour to the Matzenkirche. After another 30 min. the Matzentürme - the summit of this mountain - are reached. Surefootedness necessary! Back on the same path or via the Hansen Ruhe down to Waidisch.
