Coming from Ferlach to Zell Pfarre, before the town sign up to the right and via a toll road to the Koschutahaus.
From Bad Eisenkappel over the Schaidasattel to Zell Pfarre, after the end of town sign left up and over a toll road to the Koschutahaus.

Directions
Approach to the wall:
From the Koschutahaus parking lot, follow the Kärntner Grenzweg/Panoramaweg Südalpen into a scree slope up to approx. 1690 m. At a large boulder with a red "ÖTK" sign, turn right and follow the red dot markings up the scree slope to the start at 1940m.
From the exit of the via ferrata, the summit of the Koschutnikturm can be reached in approx. 20 minutes (approx. 100 m).
Descent:
As ascent or via the easy variant of the via ferrata (rope bridge).
It is not advisable to descend through the east gorge of the Koschutnikturm (high risk of falling rocks!).

Complete via ferrata equipment incl. helmet, gloves are an advantage, appropriate footwear, telephone, drinks and provisions, cell phone, hiking poles make the way to the start of the via ferrata easier!
Tips
Be sure to try the phenomenal liver dumpling soup made by hostess Magdalena at the Koschutahaus!
