The route offers numerous exciting stories, photo points and lost places along and off the route - with short detours. The start and finish are on forest paths with plenty of gravel. In between, you can expect a mix of paved and unpaved sections. There are numerous opportunities to stop for refreshments along the tour.
Close to the start and end point of the tour is the Sione bike store with a workshop and a very good gravel range.

Directions
The tour doesn't offer much time to roll in. Starting from Pörtschach, the longest climb of the tour takes you over the Ossiacher Tauern. Via Feldkirchen, the track takes you through the Wimitgraben and to St. Veit. Then it's all about riding over gravel to Klagefurt. Before you head back to Lake Wörthersee, there is a crisp detour into the woods and hills behind Krumpendorf.

GRAVELBIKE
Gravel bike tours sometimes lead over unpaved surfaces or gravel roads. They are therefore only suitable for very experienced riders.
Some of the routes also lead along public roads. The StVO naturally applies here.
Fair play! Don't be a spoilsport! Only ride the tours in the forest and mountain areas during the day. Please respect the interests of hunters and landowners.
Always stay on the trails and save the entire community trouble with landowners.
Respect driving bans and temporary route closures.
LOST PLACES
Many of the lost places described can only be reached by a short walk. Please respect this and give your bike a short break.
Do not enter ruins or other objects in danger of collapsing.
Keep your hands off objects. Please leave objects in place and do not take anything with you. Otherwise the special character of the places will quickly be lost.
Make sure you follow our notes, tips and warnings in the individual descriptions of the lost places.
Please bear in mind that you will probably be out and about in your cycling shoes. Not all Lost Places are suitable for walking to or exploring with them. However, we have noted the relevant information in the descriptions.
Equipment
- Cycling equipment and clothing suitable for touring (note off-road capability!)
- Telephone for emergencies
- GPS bike computer with track of the respective tour
- Bike lock, as some lost places can only be reached by a short walk
- Smartphone or camera ; )
- Flashlight or bike lights to illuminate some lost places (e.g. tunnels)
