The Ferlach cycling tour - with a stopover in Feistritz im Rosental - is a cycling experience for the whole family.
The extremely flat route sticks to low-traffic roads and bike paths and delights with its scenery rather than its difficulty. The first half of the tour leads along the popular Drau Cycle Path on a flat and easily passable gravel track. On the way, the Drauadweg innkeepers provide proper refreshments for exhausted pedal knights.
The way back to Ferlach leads on country roads through picturesque, small villages: Unterfeistritz, Sala, Hundsdorf, St. Johann, Laiplach, Strau and Kirschentheuer are the stations on this journey and all worth a stopover. Back in Ferlach, adults can relax with food and drink, while children with enough remaining energy can let off steam in the castle park.

Directions
From the center over the Loiblbach bridge, turn right in the direction of Ressnig. Soon you reach the low-traffic Drau cycle path (R1) in the Carinthian cycle path network. Turn left (west) along the Drau past the well-kept bathing lake to Feistritz i.R., about 10 kilometers, , level good gravel road. From Feistritz to Ferlach, in order not to have to take the same road, you drive through nice small towns. Little traffic, asphalt, slightly hilly terrain past the bathing lake Ratz back to the starting point in Ferlach.
