What would Aida and Nabucco be without a choir? Who would welcome the guests at the Wartburg in Tannhäuser? In ancient drama, the choir serves the function of commenting on the events.
In operas, it often embodies priests, courtiers, or "the people" and occasionally even becomes a symbol for all of humanity.
The choir of the municipal theater is the only professional choir in Carinthia. The singers must cover a wide range from Baroque to classical to great romantic opera, as well as premieres or musicals with challenging choreography.
Together with the extra choir and the KSO , we will take you on an evening journey into the world of the most beautiful opera choirs.
