ART: "Silent Witnesses in Advent":
12 Marble Heads by Harald Schreiber in the Pilgrimage Church of Maria Wörth At the same time as the opening of the Romantic Church Advent in Maria Wörth, we are particularly pleased this year to present art for the first time in the Advent season in the large Marian church. The idea was quickly followed by actions together with the parish council of the municipality of Maria Wörth and the artist Prof. Mag.arch. Harald Schreiber, resulting in an art installation in the church.

Description: "The spatial installation by Harald Schreiber in the Pilgrimage Church of Maria Wörth features 12 heads crafted from amorphous marble boulders. Just as no person resembles another, and each person is an unmistakable original, similarly, no marble head by Schreiber is like the others. Scattered throughout the entire interior of the Pilgrimage Church, Schreiber's sculptures serve as silent witnesses to the 12 tribes of Israel, the 12 apostles, and the 'People of God,' which understands itself as a community of the living and the dead, of saints and the less-saintly. This exhibition is complemented by a flag, designed as a sort of secular All Saints' litany featuring 144 portraits of wise heads and great spirits, as if the artist wanted to say to us: 'We are not abandoned by all good spirits.'
