"Slow Trail": der Themenweg Johannes Brahms

Johannes Brahms hat während seiner Lebenszeit viele Sommerurlaube in Pörtschach verbracht, welches damals noch ein Fischerdorf war.

Hier ließ er sich wahrscheinlich vom fröhlich mediterranem Lebensgefühl zu seiner 2. Symphonie inspirieren, welche die Freude und den Frohsinn des Wörthersees miteinander vereint.

Heute kann man auf dem Themenweg „Johannes Brahms“ mit der ganzen Familie auf den Spuren des berühmten Komponisten wandern.

Der Brahmsweg beginnt am Monte Carlo Platz in Pörtschach, jenem historischen Fischerdorf, in dem der Komponist seine Sommermonate verbrachte. Das prunkvolle Schloss Leonstain und die sagenhafte Burgruine liegen am Weg. Verspielte Wörthersee-Villen sind die Kulisse.

Oben, auf der Hohen Gloriette, sollte man zu Brahmsklängen verweilen und über den Wörthersee blicken. Ein Spaziergang um die Halbinsel und über die Blumenpromenade bringt dich zum Ausgangspunkt zurück.
