That Bonaparte can be quite loud has already been proven multiple times by the Swiss musician with his extravagant live shows.
But he also has a calm side that he wants to show to his audience now. In Klagenfurt, he is revealing his sensitive side – after a successful European tour.
The music of Bonaparte (Tobias Jundt) is influenced by punk and theater, where the boundaries between concert, performance, and excess are intentionally blurred. His excessive live shows, in which he gathers a multitude of musicians around him, have made him famous.
"Visual Trash Punk" is the style he invented, which has taken him to over 700 concerts across Europe, New Zealand, the USA, China, and Russia.
In December 2019, Bonaparte gave a (supposed) farewell concert in Berlin, but after four years of hiatus, he returns with a new program, and the band announced they will be active again.
The Tagesspiegel described the cross-border live performances as a "multicultural state, ruled by the party emperor unleashing a trash circus."
Bonaparte is also famous for his songs like the fun-punk anthem "Anti Anti" or "Melody X", which became world-famous as the theme song of the Netflix series DARK.
