The road from Neualbeck to Hochrindl in the middle of the Nockberge National Park (Tour 16) is winding, narrow and not very busy. Hochrindl was awarded the climate protection prize by Greenpeace and is an oasis away from everyday life At the foot of the Gerlitzen Alpe (the summit at 1,909 m can also be reached by bike), the road from Himmelberg winds its way back up to over 1,000 m above sea level to Arriach, the geographical center of Carinthia. If you want to avoid the climb from Wernberg to Köstenberg, take the direct route via Velden to Pörtschach.
