Whether running or hiking - the Trail & Hike Festival offers you the perfect opportunity to discover Lake Wörthersee from a new perspective. The combination of challenging trails, picturesque landscapes and a unique event atmosphere makes this weekend a highlight for sports enthusiasts and nature lovers.

On May 9 and 10, 2025, Naturefriends Carinthia and JOL Sport invite you to a special festival aimed at trail runners, hikers and families. Whether you want to collect kilometers ambitiously or simply enjoy nature at your own pace - you will find the right route here.

The routes - the right experience for every level

You have the choice between various distances that lead along different routes around Lake Wörthersee. All routes offer breathtaking nature experiences and a perfect mix of sporting challenge and scenic beauty.

14 km Easy Trail - An enjoyable route for beginners and anyone who wants to enjoy running through nature.
32 km Speed Trail - For ambitious runners who love challenging climbs, narrow paths and spectacular views.
65 km Ultratrail - A real challenge for experienced trail runners who want to tackle a long distance and technical trails.
14/32/65 km Hike - Ideal for hiking enthusiasts who want to cover longer distances and experience nature intensively.

The schedule - how the festival weekend works

Friday, May 9, 2025

The festival kicks off with the youngest participants: From 17:00, the children's runs start on the promenade in Pörtschach.

Saturday, May 10, 2025

The main competitions start and finish directly on the picturesque lake promenade in Pörtschach. The various distances promise a unique running experience through forests, over hills and along the turquoise waters of Lake Wörthersee.

Who is the event suitable for?

The Trail & Hike Festival is aimed at anyone who enjoys exercise and nature. You don't have to be a professional to take part - beginners and leisure runners will also get their money's worth. Participation is open to everyone and club membership is not required.
