Car-free Lake Wörthersee
In Klagenfurt am Wörthersee, the spring season begins with a unique experience for cyclists and skaters.
On this day, participants have the opportunity to circle the Wörthersee without car traffic.
The route (45 kilometers) leads from Klagenfurt to Velden (south shore) and back over the north shore to the starting point. There is also a great supporting program for young & old!
Once a year, the Wörthersee experience day takes place without cars. On this day, thousands are out and about with bicycles or inline skates to take on the sporting challenge of circling the lake, to make an outing with family, or simply to enjoy the unique atmosphere.
When the feet get tired, countless beer gardens around the lake invite you to linger with a family-friendly supporting program - and if not the whole lake is to be circled, a boat trip on the Wörthersee offers a comfortable way to get from one point to another.
Thousands enjoy this day, whether as a sporting challenge or as an outing with a unique atmosphere!
