You are looking for a family-friendly skiing area where your offspring can make their first experiences on skis - then Bodental is the right place for you. At first still quite timid on the magic carpet, the little ones soon dare to try the baby lift. By the way, both are free of charge. Larger and more experienced skiers have two T-bar lifts and an excellently groomed slope at their disposal.
The Bodental Ski School offers snowboard taster courses, ski courses lasting several days or taster days and private ski lessons - so it's ideal if you want to try out a new sport. The necessary equipment is of course available for rent on site.

Do your laps on the panoramic cross-country skiing trail in the Bodental, past the turquoise-blue Meerauge and up to the enchanting Märchenwiese.
In Zell you run on a flat, sunlit trail or in the evening by floodlight. When the snow conditions are right, the Karawankenblick cross-country ski trail is groomed at the Köttmannsdorf viewing balcony. And at the cross-country skiing performance center in St. Jakob im Rosental, Carinthia's most successful cross-country skiing club, Union Rosenbach, takes care of the artificially snowed and lighted trails.
As soon as the weather permits, all trails are prepared, both classic and skating. Cozy inns along the routes and at the entrances invite you to stay and warm up.
