A very special bike tour is the 420 kilometer Carinthian Lakes Loop. Whether by e-bike, touring bike or mountain bike. Here you will experience the best that the south of Austria has to offer. In other words, you cycle past Carinthia's most beautiful lakes in eight stages. During the summer months, these tempt you to make regular stops. It's definitely worth taking a dip in the pleasantly warm water.

Where you start the tour is of course up to you. We recommend starting in the center of Carinthia - directly on the Drau Cycle Path in Villach. From there, the 1st stage leads around Lake Ossiach and on through the Gegendtal valley via Radenthein to Lake Millstättersee.

On the 2nd stage you are then dependent on the assistance of the Weissensee shipping company. You reach this after a rather long climb to Stockenboi. Once you arrive at Lake Weissensee, however, you will be rewarded with almost untouched nature and a romantic boat ride.

Through the Gitschtal and the Gailtal cycle path, stage 3 finally leads to the Presseggersee.

The 4th stage brings you back to the starting point near the Faaker See.

Stage 5 takes you along the Drau cycle path into the Jauntal valley to Lake Klopeiner See. A detour to the gunsmith town of Ferlach should not be missed. Alternatively, stage 5 can also be cycled via the northern shore of Lake Wörthersee and Klagenfurt.

Stage 6 runs from Lake Klopein via Althofen to Klagenfurt and along the Glan River to St. Veit an der Glan. Also for this stage there is an alternative back through the Rosental to the Faaker See.

On stage 7 you finally reach Lake Wörthersee again via Moosburg, which, after plenty of opportunities to stroll and relax, forms the starting point for the 8th and final stage back to Villach.
