Oliver Mally is not one of the blues dogmatists who dismiss anything outside the pure doctrine and traditional niche.

The likable but very unconventional and legendary daredevil in promoter circles is regarded as the greatest British Roots & Blues sensation of the last decade, and indeed one of the great Roots musicians of our time. The renowned British music magazine MOJO simply states: “one of the most gifted singers and writers in contemporary blues and one of the most inventive Blues recordings ever made by a British artist.”
There are indeed very few artists who can captivate their audience from the very first second, which earned him headline bookings at many important festivals such as “North Sea Jazz.” In the 1990s, he first traveled through Europe as a street musician, quickly making it to various clubs due to his magic, and suddenly found himself on stage in 2003 as the opener for ex-Rolling Stones Bill Wyman's Rhythm Kings European tour.
