On the Lucky Hiking Trail to the Mountain Chapels

Hidden mountain chapel, mystical Christ spring, inspiring view.

We start from the parking lot in Tallach and take a beautiful forest path, passing a pond, towards Maria Elend. Here there is the opportunity to visit the pilgrimage church with its famous Gothic wing altar. We then continue a bit steeper uphill towards the mountain chapels. Along the way, we make a detour to the "Christ spring." Here, drinking bottles can be filled with water that, according to popular belief, has healing properties. The spring comes directly from the mountain and pours out from the heart of the large Christ statue into a stone basin. At the two mountain chapels at an elevation of 781m, we take a break and enjoy the wonderful view of the beautiful Rosental valley and the surrounding mountains. Afterwards, we hike westward back to the parking lot in Tallach.
Possibility to stop for refreshments at the end of the tour at the Gasthof Lindenhof.

Duration: 3.5 hours, 250 meters of elevation

Requirements: Tour suitable for beginners, must be able to navigate narrower paths, moderate fitness required

What to bring: good hiking gear, ideally a change of T-shirt, beverages, snacks, camera, possibly trekking poles
