A settlement dating back to 1200 B.C. was uncovered on the historically significant Kogel and is currently considered to be the oldest excavated settlement in the entire Eastern Alps. The finds extend from the Neolithic period through the Bronze Age to late antiquity. A museum - built over a cistern with a capacity of 80,000 liters - informatively brings to light many details of the past times.
