History with a carriage - adventure rides through the Zollfeld

What stories lie behind the walls of the Karnburg Palatine Church? What secrets does the Duke's Chair hold, and how much history is contained within the Carinthian Open-Air Museum? Culture enthusiasts and adventure seekers will learn all this and much more on the Zollfeld carriage ride. The route of the 3-hour journey through the lovely landscape is lined with testimonies of a thousand years of history and historical insights, from the installation of the territorial prince on the Duke's Chair to old wayside shrines and pilgrimage routes, culminating at the Carolingian Palatine Church, where the later Emperor Arnulf is known to have celebrated Christmas over 1000 years ago. Guests are pulled by powerful Noriker horses. Back in Maria Saal, the journey takes you over the former drawbridge of the church fortress, through the whispering arch of the gatehouse, and before the cathedral, the carriage ride ends again in the center of Maria Saal.

Dates:
June 7 to October 25, every Saturday at 9 a.m. at the Pest Cross at Trattenplatz in 9063 Maria Saal.
