Villa Hoamatl

The villa was built around the turn of the century and has been lovingly renovated - it is about 400m from the town centre and the lake. The bike path can be reached in a minute. Our house is also not far away from the Leonstein ruins and on the Hohen Gloriette where you have a wonderful view at Lake Wörthersee .In four minutes by foot - from Villa Hoamatl - you can reach the Catholic and Protestant churches. Furthermore, the 18 - hole golf course Moosburg is four kilometres away.

In the garden pavilion we are happy to serve you breakfast with homemade jam, regional fruit and tea from our own herb garden. In the evening everyone can sit comfortably together and enjoy the mild summer nights.

An alternative to strolling along the lake promenade would be a walk up to the Hohe Gloriette where you will be rewarded with an amazing view over Lake Wörthersee and the Karawanken mountain range beyond.

The small white column pavilion can be reached through the forest. In the forest, there is also the witch's house and the archer's course. On the way through the forest, you will also pass the Leonstein castle ruins.

Johannes Brahms wrote to Clara Schumann in 1877: "I want to tell you that I got off here in Pörtschach with the intention of to go to Vienna the next day. But the first day was so nice that I had to stay the second day. The second one was so nice that I will stay on for now! "
